This is a very rare medallion that was created to commemorate the ground purification ceremony that took place on December 3, 1980 during the construction of Tokyo Disneyland. The medallion itself measures about 1.75" in diameter and is set in a block of lucite that measures about 2.75" x 2.75" x 1". The front side of the medallion features a three dimensional image of Mickey Mouse with the event and date around his head, and the reverse features a Tokyo Disneyland logo with the famous Mickey head logo. This piece is in excellent condition.
