Smurfs Window Production Background Overlay (1984) - ID: mar23487

A production background from the Hanna Barbera Studios animated series "The Smurfs" (1981-1989). Featuring an open window surrounded by a curved purple Smurf House exterior wall, the hand-painted background was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears likely in an episode from 1984, based on the production numbers. The window area in the center is a physical opening where the background paper is cut. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, the background is in very good condition with minor surface and edge wear due to age and handling.
