X-Men “Whatever It Takes” Rogue & Storm Production Cel & Background (1993) - ID: apr26025

A matching production cel and background setup from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Rogue and Storm talking to MjNari when he’s possessed, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. The setup is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and is seen at about 10:55 in the season two episode "Whatever it Takes." The two cel layers are from the same matching scene to the background, but they don’t match each other precisely and appear a few frames apart. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, with the character image measuring 9.5"x10.75", the cel is in very good condition with minor surface wear including scratches, light black line fade, and paper backing transfer stuck to the reverse of the paint from storage and studio use. The cel has been paired with a reproduction color copy background for presentation purposes.
