X-Men Graduation Day Matching Cyclops Production Cel and Background (1997) - ID: jul24041

A matching multi-layer production cel and background setup from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring a fantastic image of Cyclops as he confronts Magneto, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Both pieces create an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the series finale "Graduation Day," which aired on September 20, 1997. Measuring 10.5"x13" overall, with the character image measuring 7.25"x9.25", the setup is in good condition with the cel stuck to the background from studio storage. The cel displays minor scratches, surface wear, line fade, and a small visible piece of paper stuck to the reverse in Scott's armpit region. The background shows minimal edge and corner wear, and light curling. If the two layers were to be separated, the cel and background would have extensive damage from paint loss on the cel transferring to the background.
