An original production background from the Warner Bros. animated Merrie Melodies short, "Sniffles Bells the Cat" (1941). Featuring a gorgeous rendering of an ornate grandfather clock looming above, the hand-painted background was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece represents an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the short. Measuring 9.75"x12.75" overall, with the image itself measuring 8.5"x12.5", the background is in very good condition with discoloration due to age and a slightly creased top left corner.
